One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.

Framework

My practice is located in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of north Seattle, convenient to Ballard, Fremont, Greenwood, and Green Lake. I work with adults, generally in-person (with covid precautions), although we may use telehealth from time to time. Depending on your situation, telehealth appointments may be available or recommended. Working in the sand tray in the Sandplay tradition is best done in-person but there are workarounds to do it online.

Sessions are weekly, or more frequent if appropriate. We will find a consistent session time that is workable for both of us. My fee is $150 for 50-53 minutes and payment is due at the time of service, by cash, check, Zelle, credit card, or HSA/FSA card. As your session time is held in reserve for you, I require payment for cancellations with less than 48-hours notice and for missed appointments without notice. I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee slots in my schedule to help those who cannot afford my full fee.

I am able to bill directly to Premera, Lifewise, and some BlueCross/Blue Shield plans. I will be able to accept some other insurances later in summer 2024. If I do not work with your insurance, I can provide a monthly statement that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to understand your coverage and how they will handle this. Submissions to insurance require a stated diagnosis.

Health matters

  • I have a number of measures in place at my office to reduce the risk of any illness transmission, including air purifiers, air-quality monitoring, and ventilation. Please move your session online if you feel ill on the day of your session, or have been exposed to anyone who is ill.

  • Please let me know if you have a dog allergy so that we can consider your situation. There is a dog in my household, but no pets will be present in the session room.

For Your First Session

My practice is located in a residential neighborhood, and there is usually street parking right nearby. I do not have a waiting room. If you arrive early, you will be most comfortable waiting in your car until your session time.

The following forms are required before your first session. Please download them to read and sign as indicated.
