One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.

                                          – Sigmund Freud

My practice is located in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of north Seattle, convenient to Ballard, Fremont, Greenwood, and Green Lake. I work with adults, generally in-person (with covid precautions), although we may use telehealth from time to time. Depending on your situation, telehealth appointments may be available or recommended. Working in the sand tray in the Sandplay tradition is best done in-person but there are workarounds to do it online.

Sessions are ideally weekly, as that is most supportive for our work. The minimum frequency is every other week. My fee is $150 for 50 minutes. I have availability for a limited number of patients at a reduced fee. I am not on any insurance panels. You can submit your monthly statement to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company to understand your coverage and how they will handle this. Submissions to insurance require a stated diagnosis.

Payment is due at the time of service, by cash, check, Zelle for no additional fee. To use PayPal or a credit card or HSA/FSA card, there is a 2.35% processor fee that you are responsible for.

We will find a consistent session time that is workable for both of us. This time is held in reserve for you and a commitment to attending is expected, with reasonable exceptions. I require payment for cancellations with less than 48-hours notice and for missed appointments without notice.

Health matters

  • I expect a reasonable level of caution around covid so that we are both as safe as possible when in person. I pay close attention to data tracking current levels of covid and utilize a number of protocols for safety and risk mitigation. You may be asked to do a telehealth session if you have recently traveled by air or been unmasked at a large event.

  • Please let me know if you have a dog allergy so that we can consider your situation. There is a dog in my household, but no pets will be present in the session room.

  • If you are not well, we will do your session by telehealth to protect my health and that of my other patients.

At Time of Session

My practice is located in a residential neighborhood, and there is usually street parking quite close by. I do not have a waiting room. If you arrive early, you will be most comfortable waiting in your car until your session time.

I will send you a number of forms to complete and sign before your first session so that you do not need to spend session time on paperwork. You can email them ahead of time or bring them in.
